Registering Your Club with CCS

Each College Club Swimming competitive season begins on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the following year. CCS Club Membership registration opens on August 1 of every calendar year. There is no deadline to register your club once the season begins, but your Club’s swimmers may only join CCS after the Club is registered with CCS. As we will mention in the CCS Swimmer Registration section, both the Club and athlete must be current CCS members at the time of the swim to have the time entered in the CCS database and be eligible for National Qualifying Times. Please make sure your club (and members) meets the club membership requirements outlined in the 2025-2026 College Club Swimming Governance Handbook (Section 3.1 “Membership of Clubs”).

Club Fees

Your club fee will be based on the number of competitive swimmers you select during registration. If the total number of CCS swimmers registered to your club exceeds your initial selection by March, you will be charged that additional amount. These fees are new for the 2025-2026 season to accommodate future initiatives and to meet the needs of our growing organization.

Registering Your Swimmers with CCS

Eligibility

In order to be a member of College Club Swimming, all individuals must meet the requirements outlined in both the College Club Swimming Governance Handbook and the Amateurism and Eligibility Policy. As president, please ensure your swimmers meet these requirements.

Some important information:

  • Your Club and college/university decides who can be a member of their local Club team. The requirements in the Governance Handbook and CCS policies are only for eligibility as a CCS-registered swimmer affiliated with the Club, who will be listed in the CCS database (GH 3.2.1).
  • Swimmers must be at least 18 years old on the day of CCS registration (GH 3.2.2, U.S. Masters Rulebook 102.1.1).
  • Swimmers must be affiliated with the college/university as a full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in the current academic term, a full-time co-op/intern student or faculty and staff in the current term (GH 3.2.2).
  • Swimmers may not engage in conduct that is inconsistent with the CCS mission or that is detrimental to the image or reputation of CCS, the sport of swimming, or those who participate in it (GH 3.4).
  • Swimmers must meet the amateurism and eligibility requirements (GH 3.2.2 D). As per the College Club Swimming Amateurism and Eligibility Policy, this means swimmers:
    • Cannot be on a college/university varsity roster (i.e., NCAA, NAIA) in the concurrent school year that they are registered as a CCS swimmer.
    • Must be amateur competitive swimmers or non-professional swimmers.
    • May NOT be signed with an agent or entity for the purpose of promoting or developing their competitive swimming career.
    • May receive income, compensation, or other benefits direct or indirect for the name, image, and likeness or for the promotion, participation, and performance unrelated to competitive swimming. They may NOT receive the above from entities not affiliated with their university in exchange for the promotion of products related to competitive swimming, participation in events related to competitive swimming, and/or as incentives for competitive swimming performance.
    • If an athlete is found to be ineligible, the swimmer and/or Club may face sanctioning.
